SA: Police investigations continuing into Baxter fires
Federal police are still questioning detainees about a spate of deliberately lit firesthat caused more than $2 million damage to the Baxter detention centre over the weekend.
An Australian Federal Police spokeswoman says investigations into the fires at Australia'snewest detention centre are continuing and charges have not yet been laid.
Six AFP investigators and a forensic examiner have been sent to Baxter, on the outskirtsof Port Augusta in South Australia.
The federal government has warned that those who started the fires will face the fullforce of the law.
Meanwhile a deliberately lit fire is still burning at the Port Hedland detention centrein Western Australia.
The fires in both centres forced the evacuation of detainees.
