NSW: Man refused bail after ramming police car
SYDNEY, April 15 AAP - A 38-year-old man accused of attempted murder after ramming
his car into a police vehicle in northern NSW yesterday was refused bail today.
The Queenslander was refused bail in Tamworth Bail court and will face Tamworth Local
Court on an attempted murder charge on Friday.
The man and a female passenger were allegedly speeding on the New England Highway,
near Tamworth, just before midday (AEST) yesterday.
When a marked police car gave chase the vehicle hit the police car forcing it into a spin.
The driver and a female passenger were arrested at a nearby property.
The policeman received cuts and bruises in the accident.
