NSW: NSW MP Clover Moore allegedly assaulted at Sydney school
A woman has been charged with assaulting New South Wales MP CLOVER MOORE as the politician
prepared to present end-of-year prizes at a primary school in Sydney.
Police say the woman approached the independent MP in the playground of a public school
in inner-city Surry Hills at 9.20am (AEDT) yesterday.
The woman, the parent of a pupil, allegedly punched the MP several times.
Police won't say whether Ms MOORE was injured in the attack.
Ms MOORE, the MP for the inner-Sydney electorate of Bligh, has not so far been available
for comment.
A 40-year-old woman from Surry Hills has been charged with common assault and will
appear in Downing Centre local court on January the 7th.
