Fed: Support remains for Turnbull's stance on package:Nash

CANBERRA, Feb 6 AAP - A coalition senator says there remains a "very clear and strong
support" base for Opposition Leader Malcolm Turnbull's view in opposing the government's
$42 billion stimulus package.

Nationals Senator Fiona Nash says the Senate inquiry and close scrutiny of the package
was about making sure the right thing was done by the Australian people.

"It's not about holding it up," she told ABC television.

"There is very very clear and strong support for Malcolm Turnbull, there is no doubt about this."
